Jackie Robinson is my hero because he was very couragous. He was the first African American to play professional baseball even though he went through struggles. People would threaten to kill him but he never gave in and now he opened the gate for African Americans in sports. What he did wasnt just important for baseball it was important for the equality of African Americans everywhere.
