I would like to nominate husband-and-wife Mark & Ismini Svensson to be recognized as heroes.

As part of their 2013 New Year's resolution, Mark & Ismini established a goal of traveling and performing acts of kindness in all 50 states in America under the banner ’50 Acts of Giving Back.’ They started the journey when Ismini was several months pregnant and now travel as a family with their 7 month old baby daughter. Utilizing digital tools like Facebook & Twitter, the Svenssons invite citizens to join their journey, share issues of their concern, and perform social good in their communities. Their goal is to motivate people worldwide to become active in their communities and to start a chain reaction of kindness.

For their extraordinary devotion to service, the Svenssons have been recognized by officials at the local, state, and federal levels of government across the nation and were recently honored on the House floor of Congress for this endeavor.

An inspiration to all, it is with great joy that I nominate Mark & Ismini Svensson for this honor.
