Heather M. has a son who was born without developmental disabilities, but who began to have seizures as a toddler. He has had multiple surgeries, but to this day, he still has up to 30+ seizures a day. Heather founded "The Buddy League" for kids in Dallas County, Texas, who have limitations - physical and cognitive - who would otherwise never know the joys and feelings of success that come from playing team sports. My son, Sean, is 7 and can only play baseball because of Heather! She is a hero, and she needs recognition. The Buddy League has grown from only a few players to a league of players big enough for 6 teams to play, and has even spread to Kaufman County, Texas, where there are even more kids with the new ability to play team sports!! Hats off to Heather for making our kids' dreams come true!

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
