My hero is my mom Valerie. She has not only had but raised me and my 6 brothers and sisters. I.am the youngest and heading to college in the fall and thought she should be given recognition for that accomplishment that took her 30 years. While dpending her time instilling good values and morals into all of us she also worked as a personal support worker caring for seniors in our community that needed assistance with everyday liiving or just companionship. My mom actually cared for one of her seniors in our home 24 hours a day 7 days a week until our adopted gramma passed away. To this day she continues to work hard.. now in a group home for troubled adults but she never stops smiling and outwardly counting her blessings and going above and beyond for everyone she knows. For all of this i pray you help me to recognise this very special lady i get to call mom. Thankyou..Donnie

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
