Matthew has suffered from Major Depression Disorder since he was 18. After enlisting in the Army, he finally got the consistency that he craved for so long. Unfortunately, his depression kept him from being happy, and his military career quickly came to an end when he attempted suicide in February of 2014. Matthew has since been honorably discharged, and ever since, has fought every day to stay happy, healthy and above his depression. Matthew has decided to go back to school to become a high school history teacher and football coach to give back to the world. Matthew exemplifies strength and passion, and the inability to give up, despite the overwhelming odds against him.
