You might be thinking “who the heck is ‘Symphony Pierce’?”, well, I’ll tell you. Symphony Pierce is my really good friend who is amazing. Now, what’s so special about her? Well, she means a lot to me. So, flashback 1 year ago, I didn’t have a lot of good friends and I was always confused or upset, but I was basically never happy. Then, this kid became friends with my group of friends, and even though I was really shy, I decided to introduce myself. There was some positive attitude around her, something that just dragged me toward her. I started talking to her, and by the 2nd quarter in 6th grade, we were amazing friends! It was great getting to talk to her, and hear her advice. Now, back to 7th grade, I’m so glad that we met. She still has that positive effect on not just me, but everyone, and is always very helpful. I look forward to going to school just knowing that I’ll be able to talk to her and my little group of friends, that make me happy. Honestly, without her (even though this sounds really cheesy), I really don’t know where I would be. Well, I do have a slight idea, but I don’t like to think about it. Symphony always knows how to cheer me up and when to tell me to calm down, when it’ll be okay. I know that if something absolutely bothers me, I can talk to her and she’ll figure some impossible way to make it better. So, what value does she represent to me? Is it kindness? Respect? Loyalty? Well, as I see it, it’s all of those and more. She really is someone to look up to, no matter how stupid-funny she may act. She always makes sure I’m happy, and that’s good. I like being happy.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
