Brian Schamber is a hero in every way that matters. By definition, a hero is someone who is idealized for courage, and Brian is the most courageous man I know. Born and raised in a small farming town, he was the apple of every old granny's eye. From a young age, he was given large responsibilities on the family farm. As he grew up, the responsibilities continued to increase. By age 22, he was already in the process of taking over the farm.
Any one who followed Brian around for a day would see the heroic qualities in him. Brian puts so many others before himself; his five daughters, his wife, and his animals. It is not a question whether or not Brian has a big heart, but rather how big it really is. Brian has taken in countless bachelors and widows, cared for his aging father, and given countless hours towards the betterment of the community. He never complains about the blisters on his fingers, or the pain in his back. His joy is not found in money and material things, but in the everyday moments.
Not all heros wear capes, mine wears coveralls.
