My daughter is my hero. Her name is Isabella and she is 13 years old. Her entire life has been one health issue after another and she fights through each one with courage and the best attitude. She has been through things that I would have complained about as an adult yet not one word, just a great attitude. From birth in NICU to open heart surgery at 1, to a large calcified DVT (blood clot) and rare May-Thurner syndrome, to injections in her abdomen from a year, wheelchair, and crutches at times, to all the doctor visits and test..cardiology,pulmonary,Hemotology, and more. ER and hospitals stays. Missing out on things that she wants to do and can't because her health issues and she is on Xeralto (blood thinning medicine) for the rest life. Yet, she finds ways to help her friends, community, school, elderly, and others anyway she CAN. She has a smile and good thoughts for everyone around her everyday. She has a huge heart and wants to help and save the world. She founded a youth program at 10 yrs old (the kids go to nursing facilities, USO,etc to learn to volunteer and give back to community & they are fundraising to build a much needed recreation and Life center called "Inclusion" -to help everyone no matter what their walk in life), she volunteers, is a Embassador for Racheal's Challenge at her school, started a debate club at school, leads others to counselors office, stands up to bully's for fellow students, teaches others about self esteem, never giving up, & being/loving yourself, inspires all those around her, recycles, and so much more. You will never hear her use her disabilities as an excuse. She is truly amazing and each day I see her shine and inspire more and more people. She is a true hero, my hero, and I am her #1 fan.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
