My hero
By: Abby
“I am fearless because I have known fear.” I picked this quote by an unknown author because my dad is fearless and a mystery. My hero is my dad because I want to do the same things that he does. My dad wants to change the world and so do I. he is an engineer and a great dad.
“Like me,” my dad wants to change the world. By that I mean both of us are interested in the future. Tomorrow is the future but not the one I’m talking about. My dad and I both like making robots. One time for a “science fair,” we made a carrot dispenser to see how smart our guinea pigs were they are pretty smart.
I want to be just like my bad when I grow up. Well he is boss of a bunch of programmers. But he comes back and builds robots with me. He always comes home even when he is really hurt. He always finds a way to be with his family, He rocks because of that.
He is one of the smartest guys I know. Every time I need help on homework he helps me, except with spelling. Although he sometimes he works late But even when he has a meeting in ten minutes he will always help me. He is always there for me. He is my human calculator sometimes, by that I mean he can be across the room and I can ask him what's 3x6 and he will answer.
My dad is so awesome and my hero because he like me wants to change the world to be new and better. I want to be just like him when I get older. Also he is always there for us. He is an engineer too and I want to be an engineer. I chose my dad, Ben Cochran to be my hero.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
