Nearly a year ago now, I had been unemployed for three months. No income, no food! A mother and her 11 year old daughter.
My landlady decided to make a commitment to us. She said, "I will not let you go without until you are settled again"!
I did not know this woman personally and she had no reason to help us, but she believed everyone is a child of God and so in her own time and at her cost she fed us, not only with food, but love, clothing, electricity, time, and her personal support—beyond what was necessary.
I can truly say it was due to her persistence and positivity that I was able to keep trying. 104 interviews later, I now have a job! I’ve been working for the past 9 months and still she keeps in touch (as I am employed on a contract basis), to see if we are alright!

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
