I was 18 and on my way back to my college dorm, from babysitting, in the middle of the night. It was snowing and the streets were already covered with ice.
As I approached the intersection, the light turned red and I stopped with no problem. But when the light turned green, the tires could not find traction. I looked at the clock in the car, it was 1am, and few other cars were on the road. Two cars stopped behind me, and then went around me when they realized I wasn't moving.
No one else in my dorm had a car to come rescue me. I tried one last time to launch myself forward. All of a sudden I was moving! Looking in my rear view mirror, I realized there were two young men pushing my car from behind. They pushed me about 10 feet, to the top of the hill, where my tires caught the pavement. They clapped their hands, waved, and before I could roll down my window they ran back toward the sidewalk and disappeared from view.
I always think about them whenever I am driving in icy weather, and I hope karma brings them guardian angels, as they were to me that night. I am forever grateful.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
