I am a 20 year old boy and a student of Ateneo de Naga University, Pillipines. I had a fracture in my left arm while playing skateboard in a skate park. My family is not rich but spent 70 thousand philipine peso working abroad to pay for my medical bills. When I had that accident I thought that my life would never be the same, I cried the whole month of August.
After that month, though, I watched a skateboarding video and I remembered how much I loved skateboarding. Finally, I got the courage to ride my skateboard again and I felt my pulse get faster. I was afraid to skate again but now, in spite of the desperation, I'm skating again.
I recently won first prize in a skateboarding competition.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
