I'm unemployed right now, but I have enough to manage. I have a roof over my head and can pay the bills. It's more than what others have. There is a homeless man that has taken up residence under and overpass near my home. He is older and it is difficult to communicate with him. He does not actively solicit cars at the stoplight, he simply walks up and down the side with his squeegee, and if someone offers, he will then approach the car. On occasion I will give him a few dollars, but what I like to do instead is to buy him some groceries once every few weeks. I get him some juice boxes, crackers, fruit, tuna, water and other easy open non-perishables. I know it's not much, but I hope it makes a difference in his life for a bit. I see him every day and he reminds me that we are all the same, no better, no worse and it doesn't take much to for a run of bad luck to turn into a long nightmare. Share what you have when you have it when you can, no matter how small.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
