Twelve years ago my family, pets and I were homeless, working day labor to get a meal and a motel room. Day labor pays a state's minimum wage so if one of us was not working we ate lightly or slept under a tree in one of the parks.
I had been washing dishes for several weeks when the woman I worked with asked me if I was homeless. I didn't want to tell her but ended up doing so in tears. A week later she came over to me and told me to find an apartment for my self and my family. I said I don't have the money for that. She explained that someone had done it for her in the past and she will do it for me and my family. She had only one requirement and that was to pass it on.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
