While waiting with my oldest son for a tow truck, we were waiting next to my car. I have bumper sticker that says "I love someone with Autism." While we were waiting, a homeless man approached us. I was a little frighten and my older son stood in front of me out of protection. The man asked me if I really did love someone with Autism. I said yes, my youngest son has Autism. He reached in his pocket and gave me a handful of change. He told me I needed this for my son. I told him I could not accept his money. He told me not to worry about him that he will make do with what he has but to please accept this gift. He got back on his bicycle and rode off down the street. My son Brandon and I were shocked by what took place. Instead of me giving to someone in need, this person in need gave me something.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
