It was the morning of my mom's funeral. It was early in the morning and I am not an early riser and I don't function correctly without my morning coffee. So on my way to the funeral I went into a Starbucks to buy a coffee. I was wearing a black dress and pink legging fishnets; a lady in front of me complimented me on my fishnets and seemed to notice I was feeling a bit distressed. She asked if I was okay. I said "Yes, but today is my mom's funeral and I'm in a hurry to get there." I could tell this woman, though she hadn't met me before this moment, truly felt my pain. She hugged me and said "Here, let me buy you your coffee this morning, sweetie."
I am so thankful to this lady who was so generous on one of the worst days of my life. Her kind words and actions lifted my spirits a bit and made me feel like there is always going to be a helping hand out there when I need it most.
I want to thank this wonderful lady; I wish I still had her business card she gave me that day so I could go back and thank her for being so kind.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
