During Christmas break of my freshman year I flew home; however, I had to connect through Dallas-Forth Worth. I arrived during a terrible thunderstorm and my outgoing flight was canceled. I was just 18 and I was stuck in Dallas far away from my friends and family, so I started to cry. I could not stop sobbing. This sweet man came up to me with a bottle of water and told me that his wife always gets headaches when she cried. He handed me the bottle of water and told me to drink it all and that it would be okay. It was such a random act of kindness. In a crowded airport this man saw me crying and bought me a bottle of water so I would not have a headache. I still remember it 5 years later and I wish I could thank him for his kindness.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
