It's been three years now since they left us. Mom and dad both had alzheimers and were bed ridden. We miss them every day. I thank god we were able to care for them at home. We watched them fade away and leave us day by day, slowly. While it was heart wrenching and painful, there was so much joy in caring for them. I miss them tremendously. I look for someone in our community often who needs help with their loved ones. One year after their deaths, I kept my niece, who was dying with cancer, and god used me to help her on her journey to her eternal home. Just wanted to share this to let you know if you have loved ones who need you, please don't let strangers do your job. You will be missing out. We laughed, cried, shared stories and we fell in love all over again. Now I look around at the house and see things my dad and mom did for us.I wake up at nights looking for them. Please, they are so precious, just like children. Love them while they are here with you. Believe me, you be sorry. All of those great memories are worth it. I hope this helps someone,it did me.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
