VINCE STONE,a retired salesman, who now works part-time at one of the ten convenience centers in Wise County Virginia, where he lives. A convenience center is where people throw away everything from garbage to old tires. Vince noticed that most people were throwing away aluminum cans mixed in with their garbage. He started asking his customers(as he calls them)if they would start putting their aluminum cans in separate bags, and he would take these cans to a salvage yard and send the proceeds to a well known cancer research center for kids. Their response has been amazing! Last year this fund raising program raised almost $500.00 for cancer research for kids. Vince calls this program "Cans For Kids".Vince wishes this program would spread to many more convenience centers through out his county and the whole country.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
