I have been in therapy for about six years now. My therapist means so much to me and has helped me move forward from so many family obstacles.
We have been talking about some things in therapy that are really hard to talk about. My therapist knows that money is really tight for our family (the same for a lot of people) right now and that I really want to overcome what I am going through to be a better person.
After an intense session and seeing me cry, I was really touched when my therapist offered to give me a free session. It may not sound like a big deal, but one hour costs $90 (let alone at a discounted rate--her normal is $150) and it was big weight off of my shoulders because I didn't have to feel guilty about my parents paying for this. My therapist is one of the kindest people I know.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
