These aphorisms were written by me over a 40-year period...starting in 1971.
Spirituality is nonsectarian.
Enlightenment is everybody’s birthright.
When you’ve got it all and it’s still not enough,
You’re ready for spirituality.
Except for now, all is change.
Desire and attachment cause suffering.
Acceptance and unconditional love bring enlightenment.
Zen is waking up to your everyday life and living it fully
with complete concentration.
Be one hundred percent involved
And zero percent attached.
We are not only enough…
We are all there is.
All behaviors come from either love or fear.
It’s easy to be yourself when you’re not self –conscious.
Your true nature, who you truly are,
is waiting to be uncovered.
Through us the universe becomes conscious of itself.
Lose your ego and you lose yourself…
only to gain the world.
Trust your heart and intuition.
The world isn’t so much as we find it but as we make it.
Your destiny is to awaken to a direct,
non-intellectual, experience of reality…
something greater than yourself.
God is love and love is God.
Choose to have choices.
Trust in that which does not change.
Learn from your past, plan for your future,
but live in the present.
Love isn’t blind…it’s forgiving.
Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance is pain. Innocence is bliss.
You are the light you go towards.
Knowledge is to be found outside us. Wisdom and love are to be found within.
Now, this moment, is all there is. Live it, embrace it, accept it and be free.
Make conscious contact with your source while still in your physical body.
Be the best you you can be, from moment to moment. That is all you can be.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
