When I was 13, I met a guy who I bonded with very quickly. He was a bit lonely and people picked on him at school. We became very close friends and shared everything with each other.
One day, he told me that he had something to tell about himself. He was extremely afraid that it would ruin our friendship, but I vowed that nothing could ruin our friendship. He told me that he had Asberger's and ADHD, two behaviors that had never made a difference to me. It never mattered to me that he was put in Special Ed at school because of this. He was one of the most caring people I had met, and I returned the kindness. He was very hurt by other people, and kindness and love is all he needed.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
