As a young adult, my mother always wanted to be a lawyer. It was one of her biggest dreams. She went to college and majored in political science. However, after she graduated, she didn’t reach her dreams. Instead of continuing her education, she decided to simply become a secretary for a law firm instead of a lawyer herself. After about 15 years of this, she asked herself why she never pursued her dreams in full. Through a lot of consideration, she finally decided to go back to school to get her law degree. She applied to numerous schools and finally got into Gonzaga School of Law. At 40 she went back to school, graduated top of her class, and got her law degree. Today, 10 years later, she is still practicing law and loves her job more than anything. Her determination proves how hard work can get you where you want to be.
