I understand perseverance as the ability to push through. My parents had me at a young age and as a result my Grandmother is the one who mainly raised me. When I was younger, my Granny (as I call her) was diagnosed with colon cancer. She overcame that struggle at the same time she was raising me. I feel that is the ultimate testimony of perseverance because she didn’t have to help my parents out especially since she wasn’t physically strong. Her health was tested and she still made sure that I was okay at the end of the day.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
