June 2, 2012 Ohio State High School Track Championship,Division III Girls 3200 meter finals:
16 girls enter the race to become state champion. As the 15th place contestant is halfway down the home stretch, with the 16th place competitor comfortably behind her, the pace of the competition overcomes her and she collapses on the track. She struggles to get up to finish the race, but is unable. The 16th place contestant became a true champion in her own way. She ran up to the fallen competitor, lifted her up and practically carried her. As they got to the finish line, she carefully made sure the fallen competitor crossed the finish line ahead of her. The crowd went from gasping, at the helplessness of the one girl's struggle, to a standing ovation for the truest display of sportsmanship. What she did will be retold by more people that witnessed it, than any story of the competitors that won medals that day. This display of sportsmanship was the highlight of the meet!

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
