My daughter moved to a new school in third grade. She really wanted to be friends with one girl, but the girl cussed alot. This bothered my daughter and she discussed this with us. We told her to stick to her values and she told her friend that she could not be friends with someone who cussed all the time. Her friend said she couldn't help it and my daughter said "sorry". A couple of weeks went by and the friend came to her and said OK, she stopped cussing. And so she did. Today they are inseparable friends 5 years later. When you have character and values people value you.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
