It happened several years ago. I was in Corpus Christi, Texas and I was helping my friend whose family business was Motels. He asked me whether I would be interested to do a part time project work in one of the leading hotels. I said sure. I had a summer break in my school and I was working mostly night shifts. One day around 2 am in the night I saw a car rushing into the parking zone with fire erupting on the front of the car and it looked pretty dangerous. It appeared it may explode and there were nearly about 50 cars of the guests already in the parking zone. I quickly rushed to see what was happening.
In the meantime the Ralph the owner of the car also rushed to get some help. He looked around and immediately saw me and asked him to help. I looked at the situation and immediately pulled out a fire extinguisher and ran towards the car and we were fighting the fire.
Within five minutes we controlled the situation and brought down the fire. The Cops came by then and they said a major fire was averted. Imagine if other vehicles in the parking lot caught on fire it would have been devastating. Ralph thanked me and in the morning and everyone who saw and came to know of the incident said you have done a great job. You are a good man. I got a hero’s applause. I thanked God.
I was planning on going to New York to watch the final match between Spurs and New York Knicks in Madison Square Gardens but I had to stay back and the Lord used me for His purposes.
