As a retired firefighter from Los Angeles County Fire Department, my family had moved to Idaho just one year prior to my accident. I went fishing on August 6, 1996 when my car rolled down an embankment into a lake as I was attempting to back up a little more off of the street above. With little or no air left in my lungs, I should have died that evening, if it wasn't for Terry. Terry rescued me from inside my water-filled truck. He was probably the only person left fishing there that night. Not only did he save my life, but he brought me that much closer my wife and my two boys. It took me months of recovery due to having been under water for several minutes. Now I think it's time to give Terry the recognition he deserved. Thank you Terry.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
