Friendship
It was one day at school when a new student had walked into my class. All of a sudden, it had reminded me of when I was new kid in school. I was kind of shy and scared at the same time. It had started when I moved to Utah with my family. I was going to attend David Gourley Elementary.
On the first day of school, some kid named MJ had walked up to me, “whats up, my name is MJ, come sit next to me.” he said. He then introduced me to his friends. “Hey guys this Su’e, he’s the new kid.” said MJ. All of his friends had seemed really cool and funny. I then had a lot of friends by the time it was lunch. I felt very lucky I had friends to show me around the school. They were friendly like a pet dog.
We got together at recess and played basketball. The hoop was about 10ft high. I made a lot of points and kind of was showing off my skills. Most of MJ’s friends were amazed, and one of them said, “Wow you are really good at basketball.” I was really happy and excited that MJ had become one of my friends. He and his friends had made my first day of school the best day ever.
Immediately I had decided to go be the new student’s friend. I walked up to him and said, “Hey my name is Su’e what is your name.” Then he replied, “My name is Jeremiah.” I felt as if I had made his day. He probably was relieved that he didn’t have to do things on his own on the first day of school. I hope this could happen to anyone who happens to go to a new school.
