I was in a Parade with My horse Bella. An Appalosa mare. We were riding along and she had lots of energy as normal. My mom was walking her as well because it was her first parade. We hear something like gun shots and my mare squats down but her feet slipped and she fell. I got off safely. And she got up bucked a few times and the dropped her head and calmed down. We thought the noise was a firecracker and continued on. Later we got to the trailers and we treated my horse who didn't really have any injuries. And later in the truck my trainer told me what it was and we came up with that she was a hero because she gently set me on the ground but accidentally slipped. Then she got up bucked and then dropped her head and went back to sleep. She had courage because she saved me and many other people by making a distraction. She also showed friendship and self sacrifice. I hope you all will grow and learn from this.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
