After enduring three years of abuse, and seeing it turn to my children I could not take it any more. Strength is more than the measure of muscle. Strength is the courage you muster to do even the things that seem impossible. That year there were 22,000 reported cases of abuse against children in my state. Taking my children from statistics to survivors was the greatest thing I’ve ever done in my life. Not being afraid to speak out against domestic violence any more empowers me. Jump out on that limb and reach for the greatness you deserve, you’re not just a statistic, you are a human, you are survivor just waiting to break free.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
