It took over twenty years to find my non-identifying birth information, never knowing my half sibling sister was also searching for her sister. Her Mom gave up for adoption.
A fantastic online search registry put us together.
On Super Bowl Sunday in 2000, contact was made! Two sisters connected and learned they lived in the same town just two miles away. They attended the same high school and never knew they were sisters.
After meeting my Sister as well as my Birth Mom and Brother it was time to give back.
I created a call in talk radio show and helped others seek and find.
It’s been 18 years now and my relationship with my birth family is as strong as ever. Our children, the cousins are all connected.
I wish to continue to help other Adoptees and Birth Families connect any way I can. I no longer have my radio show but someday I will help in an even bigger way and make an impact on others who need to connect for self closure and medical reasons. I will continue to “ Pay It Forward”.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
