Seth C

Seth has worked everday for the past few years for the Taskforce For the Homeless in Atlanta, helping hundreds of people get back on their feet after experiencing a homeless situation. He does this in the face of people that that minimize his work, characterizing it as wasted effort. He never tires of helping those that repeatedly fall, and rejoices for every person who escapes homelessness. Seth's endless passion for other people inspires me.

When I was a kid, I found a little sheltie on my way home from school. The owner was the grandmother of my friend, who told me that they were giving the dog away, and I could have it if I wanted it. Well, needless to say, I wanted it! I brought her home, and was told we could NOT have another dog in the house. My father told me we could take care of her until we found another home for her. My father did all he could to avoid this dog, and not give her any attention. One day, when my mom & I came home from the grocery store, my mom stopped me at the front window. My dad was on the floor, playing with that precious little sheltie. When he heard us at the door, he quickly jumped up, and went about his business...but I will never forget what I saw that day! When that dog died, even my father cried! Thanks for a very heartwarming story that brought back such wonderful memories!
