My hero would have to be my best friend of five years, Kelsey. She is such an amazing girl. She can bring out the good qualities in anyone. I met her on my first day of fourth grade right after I moved to a new town and knew no one. I went to my class and I sat in the very back and no one spoke to me at all. I was all alone and I was devastated. Then, the intercom came on and stated that a bus had just arrived and to admit those students to class, right after that a short girl with light brown hair and these green eyes walked in and apologized for being late.
She looked around and sat right next to me, there were plenty of other seats open but she chose the one next to me. After unpacking her things she turned to me and stuck out her hand and introduced herself. And that was the beginning of the most wonderful friendship I have had.
She and I quickly became friends and others just seem to join her and I because she was just that kind of person, soon enough she brought the whole class together and everyone was friends with each other, literally.
She brought out the good in everyone and we all appreciated her for that. Unfortunately, she moved away right when I entered high school, but all the things she brought out in me are still here and I try to do as she does to try to make sure no one is ever left out and that everyone can see the good in others without having to search for it.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
