GENEROSITY QUOTATIONS
“A pessimist, they say, sees a glass as being half empty; an optimist sees the same glass as half full. But a giving person sees a glass of water and starts looking for someone who might be thirsty.”

G. Donald Gale

“The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all men, charity.”

Benjamin Franklin

“That's what I consider true generosity: You give your all, and yet you always feel as if it costs you nothing.”

Simone de Beauvoir

“Infinitely more important than sharing one's material wealth is sharing the wealth of ourselves—our time and energy, our passion and commitment, and, above all, our love.”

William E. Simon

“Give yourself entirely to those around you. Be generous with your blessings. A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.”

Steve Maraboli

Forgiveness is also a thing such as generous. Although this is not a materialistic thing.

We all can be generous in some way or another by sharing our time, talent or treasure. Don't let your lack of money keep you from helping others.

My work is that of a mystery shopper. I am paid for visiting certain businesses and conducting a shopping experience at each store. Then I file the report online and receive a payment for having done so. Many of my shops are for Sonic Drive-Ins. Since I am not able to eat all the of the food I am obligated to purchase, I choose to give much of it away. All of my Sonic purchases are given to military recruitment offices in my area. If not those, I choose fire departments, but most of the food goes to the recruiters. God Bless America!

The true value of a generous gift or act of kindness lies in direct proportion to the degree of sacrifice required.
